Nipun Anand, is a graduate from the University of Bradford with a degree in Marketing and Business Management. After returning to India, he started working in his family owned construction business – Citi Constructions and ventured into hospitality sector by building a five star hotel in Goa, India, which is now run and managed by ITC Hotels.
Soon after, Nipun developed an interest in the cargo and logistics business and worked for a renowned freight forwarder for some years. The first-hand knowledge and exposure he got whilst working in the cargo business, gave him an idea to start something of his own which encapsulated both the things he loved doing, building cross cultural people connections and aviation sector. This simple idea gave birth to Zeal Global Corp, a GSSA cargo specialised company based in New Delhi, India. At Zeal he has been instrumental in building partnerships with accomplished global airlines as India representatives, which coincided with the exponential growth in the air cargo sector globally. Currently Zeal Global Corp works with over 35 International Global Airlines as their India partner.
Zeal global Corp has achieved many milestones in a less than a decade since being incorporated and today is recognized as one of the top privately owned GSSA companies in India.
From incorporating technology ecosystems, new business acquisitions, Nipun has been working towards making Zeal Global, a digital first company by introducing and embedding latest tech tools like AI & ML to streamline business growth, be sustainable and be future ready.
On 19th April, 2018, during the global convention of NRIs in the House of Lord’s London, UK, Mr Nipun Anand was conferred with the “Mahatma Gandhi Leadership Award”. He has also been featured in Forbes India for his accomplishments as a young entrepreneur. Passionate about sustainability & social causes at community level, Nipun spearheads the Zeal Foundation, as CSR initiative which helps uplift underprivileged in healthcare, sanitisation and education areas.
Vipul Bhalla – Chief Business Officer
Vipul Bhalla – Chief Business Officer (CBO)
Vipul Bhalla has been associated with the Air Freight Industry for over three decades, most recently in a Senior role with Oman Air looking after the Indian Sub-continent, Europe and Global Key Accounts. Prior to that he was with British Airways and Etihad Airways apart from a stint at a logistics company offering specialized on demand services. He has worked at Delhi, Chennai and Dubai in management roles covering Field Sales, Customer Service, Revenue and Commercial Optimization followed by Senior Management position at Abu Dhabi with worldwide sales responsibility covering 71 markets. He has managed teams generating more than $1 billion in freight revenues during his airline career. He is a Science Graduate from the Delhi University.
Priyo Patra – Director
Priyo Patra began his professional career in 2004 with an internship at the Deutscher Bundestag (German Parliament) in Berlin under Mr. Arnold Vaatz, Member of Deutscher Bundestag and CDU/CSU Deputy Chairperson of the Parliamentary Group. Priyo is a graduate in mass media and holds a diploma in event management from Mumbai University. Passionate about aviation and transportation very early on in his life, he pursued a course in Aviation Transportation from the Indian Institute of Technology – Bombay. He holds a private pilot’s license (PPL). He is also an executive committee member for the Aeronautical Society of India since 2018. With his immense industry knowledge and a laser-focused vision for the future of the global air transportation industry, he has successfully established STAT Media Group – a dedicated media organization that provides news and knowledge for and about the global freight industry. STAT Media Group publishes The STAT Trade Times, Logistics Update Africa, and Indian Transport & Logistics News. These three publications have a distinct identity both online and offline. In 2006, Priyo started Air Cargo India, a trade exhibition and conference for the global air freight industry in Mumbai, with consecutive biennial events until 2020. In 2011, he started a similar event for the African continent, called Air Cargo Africa in Nairobi and since then the event has been taking place in Johannesburg, South Africa. Messe München GmbH, a German trade fair organizer, owned by the Free State of Bavaria and the City of Munich, acquired both Air Cargo India and Air Cargo Africa events from STAT Media Group in 2018.
